On Twitter, I saw the account @HaikuCommentary Tweet:
So I thought I’d write five haiku poems based off of the prompt “dust.” I didn’t title any of them. I personally go by the five/seven/five rule of thumb with haiku poems.
Day after day of
gathering dust particles
under the eyelids.
Dust loves company,
a witness as it paints its
camouflage throughout.
dust gathers indoors,
not on the flower petals,
but where walls close in.
Dust amalgamates
our sloughed-off skin and dead bugs.
Flashback Frankenstein
Dust is time gone by.
Dust is nature returning.
Us? Temporary.
