Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:
he was unctuous,
anxious to please — some say sleek —
but always ready.
sleek back my hair for
you, to be presentable,
a prop to our love.
lion had a sleek
mane, too, beguiling, even,
which belied the roar.
she looked sleek in her
dress, beguiling like lion,
also hiding roars.
hard to say a bee
is sleek, they’re more like fuzzy,
and perhaps flappy.
nobody ever
compliments a sleek rock except
the geologist.
sheetrock is not a
rock, but it can also be
sleek, if lightweight, too.
Sure, it was a sleek
design, but within the house
wasn’t a family.
He was slick and sleek —
negative connotation —
like he was Loki.
Low-key, maybe he
was Loki, using tricks to
hide his true nature.
