Haiku Challenge for Oct. 17: ‘Safe’

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

make the world safe for
me, drain the blue ball of its
pain. Naked rock left.

I was safe in your
arms, warm and comfortable.
Hostile terrain now.

to be safe from my
depression, I sleep the days
away, which isn’t safe.

hey, my safe word is
‘dying.’ Red flag nobody
can see is waving.

I am my most safe
when my brain is distracted
from reality.

please put me in a
safe box, forget about the
key, throw it away.

home safe, guarded by
insecurities, afraid
to fly free from here.

safe is a mind free
from the all-encompassing
depression onslaught.

safe is a mind free
from the jittery touch of
anxiety’s hand.

safe is a mind free
from itself, and unshackled.
But unreachable.

    “Safe”
I am neither Safe nor Whole,
    I am instead
    Flotsam on a wave
    riding without control
    to it’s destiny of collision
