Haiku Challenge for Jan. 24: ‘What’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:

what happened to us
a heart lost in the ocean
taken by the waves.

what happened to us
a colorless leaf among
a pile of color.

what happened to us
a moon turned away by light
awaiting darkness.

what happened to us
a depression frog hopping
to a new lily.

what happened to us
a snowflake dissolving on
a discontent tongue.
