An Autobiographical Metaphor Poem: A Career

A Career

Putting on the mask,

the khaki pants,

and a clip on tie.

Pens lining

my chest pocket.

A dentist.

I grab my bag.

Door-to-door

I go.

Big people saying,

he’s so cute

that’s different

look at the tie!

My bag filled

with candy.

That was easy.

Now Snickers

or Skittles?
