I’ve seen two of his movies now: Inland Empire (2006) and Mulholland Dr. (2001).
And I don’t understand how anyone can like either of those two movies. I’m sure people are probably more familiar with Mulholland Dr. than they are Inland Empire. But nonetheless, these moves are just incoherent nonsense to me and it is hard to sit through them. In fact, I couldn’t even sit through almost three hours of Inland Empire.
I don’t mind movies that go well outside the box and experiment and are a little crazy, but I like some semblance of sense in my movies and I like to know what the hell I’m watching. Maybe I just don’t get them? What are your thoughts?
