Haiku Challenge for Aug. 21: ‘Weak’

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

he was weak for her.
butterflies in his stomach
held the reins on him.

weak-kneed beside her.
his full stature bent by love;
he was stuck that way.

when depression came,
it made him feel weak, less-than.
Even if not true.

when anxiety
came, it made him feel weak, too.
Even if not true.

the earth was weak for
the moon, waiting for its glow,
a nighttime comfort.

the book was weak for
the bookmark since it tickled
waiting to open.

the bee was weak for
the flower, its inviting
fragrance, soft petals.

the lion was weak for
… well, nothing actually.
the lion is king.

humans are kings, too,
even though many things make
us weak, tear us down.

laughter is one of
the few things, where getting weak
is a positive.
