Haiku Challenge for Sept. 30: ‘Involve’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

when you left me, you
became ‘involved’ with him, and
that sounds so formal.

depression involves
me in its game of find the
void; it’s everywhere.

depression involves
me in its activities:
numbness and sleeping.

depression involves
me in the piñata game,
but I’m piñata.

‘involve yourself,’
you say, but anxiety
has disagreements.

I’m involved in a
love triangle: depression
and anxiety.

I’m involved in a
love triangle: self-hating
and self-sabotage.

involve me, love me
he begs for validation;
nobody hears him.

bees love the picnics,
even if you don’t involve
them, they buzz over.

involving lions
with tigers and bears, oh my,
how formidable.
