Haiku Challenge for Nov. 24: ‘Thrash’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

daily ritual:
thrash within, and nobody
sees the markings left.

thrash the trash inside
my brain, cerebral cleansing
baptism by bashing.

depression party:
thrash the pinata; watch as
shadows explode out.

depression party:
thrash the man bobbing for hope
apples in darkness.

depression party:
thrash the cake, set it aflame,
eat the charred icing.

depression party:
thrash the balloon; it slinks down
like a broken man.

anxiety thrash.
tangled in the blankets of
dripping cranium.

anxiety thrash,
like diving into fall leaves
that are colorless.

anxiety thrash:
endless sauna tunnels where
light is bad omen.

if a book thrashes
its pages turn confetti
a story untold.
