Poem: The Past Goes in the Colander

Creative Commons photo.

My latest original five-line poem.

The Past Goes in the Colander

through a colander, draining the pain away,
leaving only distant shadows of what was;
the future remains pristine, untainted until it
will sift through, unabated.
