I’m behind on responding to the Daily Post prompts. This one in particular I thought was creative:
You’ve been granted the power to predict the future! The catch — each time you use your power, it costs you one day (as in, you’ll live one day less). How would you use this power, it at all?
If you use this one constantly, then eventually the future will become your casket, seemingly. But alas, I like to take the moral highroad and say, “Nah, I wouldn’t use it. We shouldn’t want to know the future in advance of it.”
However, I know I’m weak-willed when it comes to “spoilers,” so you’re damn right I’d use that. For immediacy, I’d probably use it to see when my college graduation date is since it’s currently shrouded in darkness…
Then I’d use it for another mundane reason: To see when I pay off my debts. Hopefully that’s not too far into the future…
Sentimentally, I’d probably — okay, would — use it to see when I meet a girl I’m compatible with.
Yikes.

I like your last point the best! I would definitely use the power for that. Thanks for writing!
