Haiku Challenge for Aug. 8: ‘Prepare’

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

Prepare the body
for its final resting place,
now free from this world.

They told me that to
prepare was the key to life.
Procrastinated.

Prepare for the “real
world.” As if this hasn’t been
real enough for me.

When the chef prepares
a meal, it is artistry.
When I do, it’s food.

Prepare the poem
with the free-flowing verses
to win her heart back.

Coming together
is when I prepare for the
eventual break.

The bees spend most of
their days preparing, fixing,
and die in seconds.

The bee is here now,
and preparing its stinger;
its one final act.

A lion prepares
for the kill by first stalking
like Michael Myers.

Please prepare my brain;
its wires need to be fixed,
so it works again.
