Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:
When you had to add
us — one plus one — you came to
the answer of one.
Add up my sorrows
to a sparrow that can’t fly.
Maybe tomorrow.
Add me to your life,
I won’t be a negative
integer — promise.
I didn’t ask to
add depression to my life.
Its own calculus.
I didn’t ask to
add anxiety either.
Its own algebra.
Add the wax to wax,
as all the bees masticate
until there’s a hive.
Add a lion to
another lion and more,
and you get a pride.
Wax on and wax off?
So add it to my training.
I’m Karate Kid.
Add my negative
thoughts together and you get
a tax on the brain.
The moon and the stars
Beauty and wonder to life.
We can’t stop looking.
