Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:
i sneaked out of life,
refusing to play its game.
i’m existential.
i sneaked out of life,
reality too hard to
take — exit stage left.
i sneaked out of life,
taking the road to nowhere
was better than here.
i sneaked out of life,
a life now unrequited,
essentially exit.
i sneaked out of life,
‘being’ was impossible;
nothing essential.
the bee sneaked
around the flower with its
familiar love dance.
The lion sneaked up
on unsuspecting zebras.
Premeditation.
the moon sneaked up on
the horizon, shining bright.
A friend to darkness.
books sneaked up on the
bookshelves, one by one, until
there were too many.
she didn’t sneak out,
more like a blunt object to
the head; lifeless now.
