This week’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

we almost made it
five years limping along like
two zombies who knew.

we almost made it
five years, that’s half a decade,
gone in an instant.

we almost made it
five years, a relationship
past expiration.

we almost made it
five years until you changed your
mind, and had enough.

we almost made it
five years, me oblivious
you had other plans.

he almost got out
of bed, but then it called to
him, so he stayed there.

the bee almost made
it to the flower, but the
mockingbird ate him.

the bee was almost
finished with the new beehive,
but then the bear came.

bear with me the bear
said to the bee, I’m hungry.
But bee was buzzing.

Lion almost caught
cheetah, but cheetah
was too fast, nimble.
