Haiku Challenge for Sept. 10: ‘Interest’

Creative Commons image.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

she lost interest
in me somewhere along the
way — not coming back.

she lost interest
in me, those brown eyes saw me
as another man.

she lost interest
in me — me unable to
sway her back to me.

pain took interest
in me, as its new play thing.
i hope it gets bored.

pain took interest
in me, to see how many
times it could break me.

pain took interest
in me, twins with misery,
they like to smother.

depression means you
lose interest in things you
love — become hollow.

i lost interest
in trying to make it, and
am just surviving.

bee had interest
in flower, bringing pollen
to show affection.

lion’s interest
in the other lion was
the meat in its teeth.
