Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:
you left a bruise that
won’t heal, a daily, throbbing
reminder of you.
bruise after bruise to
show that love really does hurt —
left to lick my wounds.
depression is a
bruise that never leaves you, and
bruises on the bruise.
depression is a
bruise that nobody can see —
nobody believes.
anxiety is
a bruise, and oh god is it
cancer? never ends.
when the fruit bruises,
it gets discarded in the
trash can, uneaten.
if a bee were to
bruise, would that kill it since its
a tiny creature?
when lion bruises
that only adds to his roar,
and lust for the meat.
the cloud had a bruise,
but nobody recognized;
it’s just a dark cloud.
if a star bruises,
nobody will see it for
millions of years. Sad.
