Haiku Challenge for Sept. 15: ‘Due’

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

for us, the bill came
due; you waited to collect,
and I had nothing.

all of us are due
our turn at Death’s door; forlorn,
I yearn sweet release.

depression says the
rent is due, eviction of
myself to myself.

anxiety says
rent is due, and other bills,
and oh god, what now.

depression’s due date
was before I was out the
womb, and tagged with doom.

depression’s due date
had neither a beginning
or end date. Just is.

depression’s due to
take me when the time is right,
whenever that is.

the bee was due at
the flower by noon, soon, but
he was buzzing late.

the lion was due
to meet the zebra for lunch
… a party for one.

the bear was due
at the golden house by dusk,
with porridge to share.
