Haiku Challenge for Sept. 21: ‘Code’

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

coded secrecy,
an algorithm you gave me,
I don’t understand.

depression is code
like a computer, repeats
numbers, endless loop.

depression is code
with a broken link, and no
way to repair it.

depression is code,
a foreign language, I still
can’t translate its words.

depression, the code
in my bones poisoning all,
until silent death.

depression, the code
nobody else can see, and
cause of death unknown.

Bee code: Careful not
to cross-pollinate others’
flowers; buzz away.

Lion code: The code
is whatever lion says.
king of the jungle.

(Code is wrong, lions
don’t actually live there,
but sounds cool to say.)

Bear code: Bring honey.
In fact, bring the whole beehive.
The bear isn’t picky.
