Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:
even now, all this
time later, I think of you;
when will you recede.
even odd, we matched,
swimming fate’s tide, unaware
of the erosion.
even together
we were apart, seeing the
world different ways.
even your equal,
I never measured up to
your expectations.
even good times felt
like a prelude to the bad.
unavoidable.
even depression
allows for the good days, but
they’re always fleeting.
even depression
can kill; not teenage angst or
something to ‘man up.’
even the cloud took
a day off, floating away,
letting the sun come.
even the bee was
scared of other stingers, so
he kept his distance.
even the lion
fears at least one enemy:
the weak, armed human.
