Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

Joplin said take a
little piece of my heart now,
baby: nothing left.

maybe I should have
given her my whole heart, and
not just the pieces.

when I gave her my
heart, a piece was shrouded in
dark cloud depression.

greedy depression
takes more than a piece; it takes
everything with it.

piece by piece I crack
along lines nobody sees
until death claims me.

anxiety turns
nerves into fragments, pieces
and hides them from you.

how to pick up the
broken pieces of your life
user’s manual:

how to pick up the
broken pieces without more
pain in the process?

bee left an extra
bit of pollen for flower —
had the sweets for her.

with his roar, lion’s
friend noticed he had a piece
of meat in his teeth.
