Haiku Challenge for Oct. 20: ‘Highlight’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

you could highlight me
all over my body, and
nobody would see.

highlight depression
like a bulb that can’t light in
my cavernous chest.

highlight depression
like a shooting star dark cloud
knows only one speed.

I highlight the best
of us to you, but brown eyes
don’t want to look now.

my highlights package
is me laying in my bed
sunup to sundown.

my highlights package
is a clip where you know the
ending at the start.

highlight positives:
breathing the Taco Bell air —
sauce suffocation.

highlight negatives:
breathing the Taco Bell air —
sauce suffocation.

the highlight of my
life was you; yours, anything
before or after.

the highlight of my
life is yet to come, it’s the
light at the tunnel.
