Haiku Challenge for Nov. 14: ‘Glad’

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

glad, tap water on
my tongue aside a river
of wine rushing by.

glad moods are fleeting,
like catching the moon in the
morning as it fades.

glad seeped from my brain,
like a sniper took his shot,
and pooled around me.

glad to have met you,
but hate to remember you.
tug-of-war ’til death.

I’m glad, like the trash
bag, holding all leftovers
nobody wants now.

I’m glad, like the trash
bag, ready to ride the waves
down at the landfill.

glad through depression
is like a smile without teeth;
it counts, but is off.

glad anxiety
tagged along, I whisper so
to not frighten it.

glad in a hole of
dirt, giving my body back.
Earth made a mistake.

glad the eulogy
was a silent curtain to
close out this chapter.
