Haiku Challenge for Nov. 22: ‘Reject’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

an american
reject, a burned bald eagle.
metaphor smolders.

reject sitting on
a wooden barge, floating down
a river run red.

reject among the
misfit toys, worse than broken,
he doesn’t want to play.

please reject my love,
I enjoy drinking the pain
hurt alcoholic.

please reject my love;
it’s spoiled rotten anyway.
coagulated.

reject depression
an unrequited lover
always at my door.

reject depression?
like turning away the dust.
settles everywhere.

depression reject
then becomes gourmet worm food
fate sealed long ago.

to reality,
I reject — virtual, too.
surreal for me.

the book rejects pile
messy in the bargain bin
hoping to be saved.
