Haiku Challenge for Nov. 26: ‘Attack’

A picture I took during my swamp hike in Illinois in the summer.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

attack the mat of
life and wrestle it into
submission. Good luck.

attack of the clones,
but the clones are all versions
of my hating self.

an anxiety
attack is like being killed
over and over.

depression attack:
just kidding, ‘attack’ is too
active a word here.

depression attack:
a million numbing needles
piercing your thin skin.

depression attack:
swallowed by a dark cloud to
rain on you later.

full frontal attack.
exposed at the broken bits
when you said “over.”

walking through the swamp
when the little bugs attack
me, the invader.

attack of the moon
light on a brisk evening walk
showered by space beams.

attack of the dog
kisses, tail wags and nose sniffs.
a morning of smiles.
