Haiku Challenge for Nov. 30: ‘Argue’

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

he argues with his
depression, like it listens,
until voice runs hoarse.

before the judge to
argue merits of living
prosecution rests.

he argues with the
dark cloud above; it’s too high
to hear his whimpers.

argue our love to
a welcome mat with bristles
to catch empty words.

argue our love to
a digital cloud where it
rains my words on me.

argue our love to
the mattress and pillow; they
say nothing in turn.

argue our love to
the shower grime on the wall.
tears mix with water.

argue our love to
my dog, who shakes her leg at
scratches, but not words.

depression argues
the lights of hope are broken
and not fixable.

depression argues
all is lost, not to be found,
except it’s right there.
