Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:
splashing around in
my own body, drowning, with
no rescues coming.
splash in depression’s
rancid water pools to feel
alive for a time.
splash in depression
where nobody notices
the droplets you spew.
splash reality
into my eyeballs, please, so
I can see anew.
splash reality
into my face, scald me with
the truth of what’s there.
anxiety splash:
worries emanating every
direction inward.
anxiety splash,
where fear runs over the brim
of your skin, puddling.
I splash in the blood
of my broken heart, waiting
for you to return.
I cry to splash in
the tears of heartache like a
masochist to love.
consider, most of
us only ever make our
life splash when we die.
