Haiku Challenge for Dec. 23: ‘Celebrate’

Creative Commons photo. Description courtesy of Wikipedia: Studio floor used by Jackson Pollock at the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center in Springs, New York. The studio is in an old barn behind the house. Pollock had the building moved, put a wood floor down and used it as his primary painting surface from 1946 until his death in 1956.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:

celebrate the flaps
of my corroded skin suit;
it’s held up this long.

celebrate our love:
a tour de force of breaking
in different ways.

depression party:
celebrating the shadows
dancing in my head.

reverse celebrate
to unmake our memories
and rebuild again.

canvas celebrate:
Pollock my cranium to
find the good pieces.
