Haiku Challenge for Dec. 31: ‘Strange’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 5 haiku poems.

stranger in a strange
land — brain deforestation —
make a barren stand.

stranger in a strange
land where we were together;
now just foreigners.

you threw your discus.
circle of life coming here.
the pretty, strange lights.

depression colors:
the strange phenomenon of
bright colorlessness.

strange for the moon to
abandon me to the wolves
of the breaking dawn.
