Haiku Challenge for Feb. 9: ‘Won’t’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:

won’t memories fade
like ink on a newspaper
smudging on our skin.

won’t memories fade
like bark on a weathered tree
squirrels try to climb.

won’t memories fade
like the sun does on each night
but more permanent.

won’t memories fade
like the tears scratching hot cheeks
until eyes run dry.

won’t memories fade
like our relationship did
imperceptible.
