Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:
romance stared down death
captain of a sinking ship
swallowing it whole.
romance stared down death
amid a raging house fire
lathered up with ash.
romance stared down death
one foot curled around grave dirt
hand raised to the sun.
romance stared down death
unflinching, eyes watering
until drowning there.
romance stared down death
a thousand memory cuts
no more blood to give.
