Today’s haiku challenge is my own since baffled, the Twitter account I usually use for these, hasn’t posted one today. So I used a word generator, and I’m going with “remember.”
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:
will you remember
me, or am I a dusty
memory to you?
remember the times
we had; do they come to you
in your dreams? Then what?
remember the love
we shared, cradled between us?
shards we walk around.
depression makes you
unable to remember
what “before” time was.
remember the days
before the pain made a home
burrowed in your chest?
anxiety does
remember everything, and
tortures you with it.
don’t remember me
as fading embers, and a
a tree screaming, “Timber!”
bee remembers the
flower, brings extra pollen
to flatter flower.
bear remembers the
cave for his hibernation,
and yearns to return.
lion remembers
the shade by the boulder, and
takes a nap as king.
