Haiku Challenge for Jan. 17: ‘Remember’ (Part II)

Today’s haiku challenge:

Incidentally, there was a day, Sept. 19, 2020, where baffled didn’t have a prompt, so I used a word generator to prompt myself and the word was “remember.” You can read those 10 haiku poems here.

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:

remember now, my
skeleton is clamoring
to burst free from here.

remember now, there
exist spiders feasting on
my brain, eating hope.

remember now, love
passed me like a shadow at
night, whispering death.

remember now, she
discarded me, like dumpster
waste left for the rats.

remember now, I’m
the biased narrator here
discard bitterness.
