Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:
I’ve been left to crawl
through the glass of my shattered
heart. An endless bleed.
when left to my own
devices, they instead are
torture mechanisms.
left alone to rot
in the soup of my despair
where it never cools.
left alone to break
at the broken points again
like a masochist.
left alone to run
marathon pain memories
with just bitter drinks.
you left me, like I
had become rotten produce,
which once had promise.
you left me because
depression enveloved me
where your love could not.
anxiety left,
only to return again
just moments later.
to the left of me
and to the right; all around.
no reprieve from it.
depression has left
unsinkable ships within
my bare stomach pits.
