Haiku Challenge for Dec. 20: ‘Left’ (Part II)

Today’s haiku challenge:

This is actually a repeat from Dec. 1. You can read those 10 here. Think of that; I’m giving you 15 total haiku poems prompted by the word “left.” Challenge indeed!

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:

take what’s left of me
use the parts for scrap metal.
reconfigure life.

only thing left now
are “it’s over” memories;
happy ones since lost.

left for dead, I make
friends with the swooping vultures.
my whooping dead end.

depression left scars
alive, painting mosaics
across my brain walls.

depression has left
hunks of rusted metal on
an endless runway.
