Haiku Challenge for Dec. 3: ‘Serve’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

please, do not serve me
bitterness; it’s aplenty
on my tongue as is.

ready to serve you.
devoted to a broken,
invisible love.

depression serves me
to anxiety, and back
again, with no rest.

serve me up to the
depression gods, or devils;
it makes no difference.

serve me up like a
head on a spike — the eyeballs
still longing for life.

you served me a swerve
breaking my nerves, and left me
to preserve our love.

I swerve to avoid
life; death serves me its welcome
burial papers.

I serve a useful
purpose: a playful mouse for
the depression cat.

I serve a useful
purpose: the anchor for a
dark cloud stuck up there.

I serve a useful
purpose: memory holder
for what we once had.
