Haiku Challenge for Feb. 1: ‘Poverty’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:

poverty of mind
echoing a hollowed out,
erratic heartbeat.

poverty of mind
like littered, empty coffins
comfortable pain.

poverty of mind
room full of screaming faces
but hearing nothing.

poverty of mind
depression reigns supreme here
desolate kingdom.

poverty of mind
tumbling down a hill without
a bottom in sight.
