Haiku Challenge for Feb. 19: ‘Expect’ (Part II)

Today’s haiku challenge:

This is actually a repeat prompt word from Sept. 29, 2020. You can read my first 10 haiku poems with that prompt here.

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:

expect depression
a continent all my own
the bell tolls for thee.

expect depression
trapped under the foggy dome
nobody else sees.

expect depression
an overheated blanket
I can’t push off me.

expect depression
open claustrophobia
choking on thin air.

expect depression
haunted house inside my chest
the ghosts run rampant.
