Haiku Challenge for Feb. 22: ‘End’ (Part III)

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

This is the first Part III. The first 10 haiku poems from Oct. 7, 2020 are here and the second set of 10 from Nov. 1, 2020 are here.

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my five haiku poems:

the end of us came
more like a muted whisper
than an abrupt bang.

the end of us came
with a cave in of my chest
where the crows sleep now.

the end of us came
like a colorless rainbow
after a sweet storm.

the end of us came
as your shadow consumed me
memories smother.

the end of us came;
my skeleton stopped dancing.
skin, a body bag.
