For those that are passionate and interested about history, specifically of the WWII variety, this is article an imperative read. Fascinating information and definitely challenges some entrenched American narratives of the war and its conclusion, especially, obviously, with respect to the dropping of two nukes.

Moreover, if one accepts this information, then one has to grapple with the morality of dropping the nukes (as well as the undoubted truth of the fire-bombing mentioned in the article, which muddles the “good vs. evil” narrative that’s been established).
