I think it should be apparent to anyone that reads this blog that I absolutely love Christopher Nolan’s films and am giddy whenever there is news about a new project of his. Well, thankfully, there is! His newest, original (yes!) film is Interstellar slated for a November 2014 release. That date can’t get here soon enough.
His usual crew is back including his wife Emma Thomas and the astoundingly awesome composer Hans Zimmer, but also, check out this stellar cast:
‘Interstellar’ features a prestigious cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway, Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Academy Award nominee John Lithgow, Academy Award nominee Casey Affleck, David Gyasi, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy, Timothée Chalamet, Topher Grace, David Oyelowo, Academy Award winner Ellen Burstyn, and Academy Award winner Michael Caine.
Some may groan at the notion of Mcconaughey, but that is their own short-sightedness, to be frank. Don’t let his romantic-comedy films fool you; he’s a brilliant actor and has shown that countless times. I look forward to his involvement. Moreover, Jessica Chastain is one of the best actresses working today. And Caine? In a Nolan film? Get out!
Nolan exploring space. I’m sold.
