Haiku Challenge for Aug. 9: ‘Cancel’

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

Cancel any plans;
depression has a new one:
Sleep it all away.

Cancel any plans —
anxiety is here now;
so we will just hide.

Cancel any plans?
Self-loathing comes rushing in
to make you feel bad.

Cancel any plans …
anti-social hermit here.
Time to ignore texts.

Cancel any plans,
but breathlessly reschedule,
delaying the, “No.”

The bee cancels the
trip to the flower today.
Ate too much nectar.

When the time comes, we
cancel the old worker bee,
their job completed.

The lion cancels
the chase; gazelle runs away.
Next time, lion thinks.

Cancel the future.
While you’re at it, cancel the
past, too. Keep present.

Cancel my feelings.
They don’t matter anyway.
She’s still leaving me.
