Haiku Challenge for Sept. 9: ‘Update’

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

breaking news update:
depression is still winning —
undefeated streak.

breaking news update:
depression, the master who
asks nothing, takes all.

breaking news update:
anxiety still winning,
too; no end in sight.

breaking news update:
anxiety, the sweaty
puppet master here.

breaking news update:
the man is still broken; they
walk over him, blind.

breaking news update:
the news is always breaking;
no fixes in sight.

my life updated,
but not upgraded, still the
same, going downhill.

Bee updated me
on how his life was going —
little guy buzzing.

Lion updated
me, too: Meeting up with bear,
and tiger later.

Turtle updated:
New shell, harder than the last,
better protection.
