Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:
I was laid bare by
you, left to fend for myself.
naked and afraid.
I was laid bare by
you, with all the warts showing —
nobody to show.
I was laid bare by
you, and bleeding out, dying,
with no help coming.
I was laid bare by
you — a body with a hole,
unending and dark.
I was laid bare by
you; your memory only
thing keeping me warm.
depression also
lays bare your soul, frightening
upon reflection.
depression also
strips you down to your bare self,
and then still takes more.
depression also
tricks you, makes you think you are
it — identical.
Bee was always bare,
buzzing about naked, and
free to live his life.
Bear said bear with me,
not ‘bare with me,’ as some say,
and so, I waited.
