Haiku Challenge for Oct. 10: ‘Far’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

I tried to go far
to get away from you, us.
Memories remain.

In a galaxy
far, far away, I hope my
body drifts along.

They said you’ll go far.
But here I lie in the same
bed, wasting away.

depression makes it
seem like who you’re meant to be
is far, far away.

how far do I have
to bury you so you don’t
return, zombie love?

I thought we would go
far, like an altar maybe;
instead, we fell short.

the purple clouds are
never far away, staying
close, reminding you.

anxiety won’t
stray far, either, waiting to
pounce on all the things.

bee carried pollen
far for the flower to have,
and then bee dropped it.

lion was far from
the zebra, waiting, watching,
knowing he would win.
