Today’s haiku challenge:
My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:
down is my siren
song, only trajectory
I’m capable of.
our relationship
went down like medicine we
both knew we needed.
our relationship
went down with a soft whimper
coming from my heart.
our relationship
went down like we overdosed
on too much of us.
there there, down there, I
gurgle in my pool of self-
pity. Hope to drown.
I’m allergic to
going up, must go down to
the bottom, and rest.
I’ve got depression
down pat, the best of buddies
twirling until death.
I’ve got depression
downs, there’s no seesawing here
only further downs.
life is a repeat
of always being fourth down
and with no football.
elevator life:
you ask if I’m going down.
It’s rhetorical.
