Haiku Challenge for Oct. 24: ‘Preserve’

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 10 haiku poems:

preserve me like fruit
and spread me out when needed,
just to be with you.

preserve depression
in amber, let others look
upon its darkness.

please preserve my corpse,
a ninth wonder of the world,
for lasting this long.

preserve my letters
of love to you, etched in tears,
as memories fade.

life is a game meant
to preserve my sanity
as long as I can.

life is a game meant
to preserve love in tiny
bottles from the hate.

my mental preserve
is one of the hermit crab:
shelter and escape.

my mental preserve
is a three-pronged war against
me, myself and I.

one fatal flaw of
our species: we can’t preserve
time, it marches on.

all the books preserve
stories of adventure to
be read, when ready.
