Haiku Challenge for Oct. 29: ‘Four’

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. I have to admit, this was the hardest one of these challenges yet. Nonetheless, here are my 10 haiku poems:

we had four strong years;
then the last year, we dissolved
underneath the cracks.

four: anxiety,
depression, self-sabotage
and me, somewhere there.

four, three, two, one … I
breathe out, until the pain goes
away with the words.

four lives lived so far:
the kid, the teen, the boyfriend,
whatever this is.

four days exist like
undersleep, oversleep, and
no food, overeat.

four horseman of the
apocalypse don’t bother
me, as I’m a corpse.

four horseman ditched me
as a fifth member because
I depressed them out.

my four gospels are:
Self-Pity, Self-Sabotage,
Spiraling, and Sad.

there have been four loves
so far, and four losses, too.
each taking, giving.

fourscore and seven
years ago, I didn’t exist.
So, the same as now.
