Haiku Challenge for Nov. 28: ‘Refresh’

Creative Commons photo.

Today’s haiku challenge:

My style is typically five/seven/five, and I’ve been doing that all these months, but I think I’m going to switch it up and challenge myself. Let’s go with two/five/two. [Note to the reader after having done it: That was indeed challenging.]

Here are my 10 attempts at this variation:

refresh
my anxiety
button.

refrain
depression embers.
refresh.

refresh
heart palpitations
for you.

refresh
our memories made.
relive.

refresh
cranium cracking
to heal.

refresh
this sliding timeline.
falling.

failing
to find the refresh
outlet.

painful
depression refresh.
numbing.

moonlights
refresh each morning
for night.

forest
leaves do fall refresh.
colors.
