Haiku Challenge for Dec. 27: ‘Pay’ (Part II)

Today’s haiku challenge:

This is actually a repeat of a previous prompt back in October. You can read those 10 haiku poems here.

My style is the five/seven/five syllable structure. Here are my 5 haiku poems:

pay the gods in blood
sacrifice to get you back.
reject my offer.

pay the gods to wipe
any memories of us,
but even they can’t.

pay the depression
lackeys to lay off of me;
no amount will do.

pay anxiety
to take a vacation; lodged
in my brain instead.

pay to play in the
shadows — consternation the
sand in my sandbox.
